first wash your hands before you touch the hamster then open the cage very gently pick up a small handful of hamster food next put the food into the little bowl check that the water bottle is full pat the hamster gently on its back if it wants to be stroked close the cage door carefully after that wipe down the table with a cloth put the food bag back in the cupboard tell your teacher that the hamster has been fed and wash your hands again
